Don't judge the small volcano islands such as Mt. Taal. The smoke rising from the crater is great. I live in Muntinlupa City, southern portion of Metro Manila area. Even though the distance between the Muntinlupa City and the eruption site is 79 kms., or 1-hour drive away, the ash begins to fall in our city. It was evening of January 12, 2020 (Philippine Time or GMT+8). It looks like fine-grain powder scattered in the main road, but it appears brownish when you see the car's windshield. The smell is terrible. This sulfuric smell is like powder from the fireworks. Although it doesn't rain during the night, however, in the nearby cities of Batangas, including Tagaytay City (Cavite Province), a highland city overlooking Mt. Taal, suffers muddy roads because of rain. How can we expect after a hundred years when Taal became smaller when it erupts, the smallest volcano becomes active again?

It's a picturesque yet one of the deadliest volcanoes. It only erupts once every several decades. I went home from work walking in the ashes. And the city where my office is located (BGC) was like a dead zone. It's crazy.

  25. James

    JamesIl y a 6 jours

@M. Satria Jannatan Yeah. You said it. "it hasn't erupted since 1977". Though it has certain activities in the past years, the eruption, like what happened a week ago, happened last 1977. And what do you mean by "it erupts frequently, but hasn't erupted since 1977?". Sounds contradicting.

  26. M. Satria Jannatan

    M. Satria JannatanIl y a 7 jours

Lol no, it erupts frequently but apparently it has not erupted yet since 1977 and still labeled as "active"

Jeepers! Sending prayers - this explains weird dreams I've had 4 months now - what I saw was a "toning" - all shells in Pacific Ocean were calling out - they were "toning" - (sound was deafening). I awoke from this dream - told my husband- went back to sleep - and back to the same dream. I was looking out over Pacific to see a Native Hawaiian blowing a conch shell - answering the toning? Trying to calm down the shells? responding to what was going on under the ocean? (This is just one dream out of many) honestly - I can "hear" something right now - I am on West Coast of California. (I am also part Australian Aboriginal / not that it matters - but I have always been tuned into earth changes - ESPECIALLY in regards to the Pacific). If it is any help - this is very serious. Please heed evacuation orders.

The Philippines is the biblical land of creation, there were other 39 other volcanos in the world that erupted. The most high provided ashes for the nation's with his remnants. Then the Lord spoke to Jonah a second time: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message I have given you.” This time Jonah obeyed the Lord ’s command and went to Nineveh, a city so large that it took three days to see it all. On the day Jonah entered the city, he shouted to the crowds: “Forty days from now Nineveh will be destroyed!” The people of Nineveh believed God’s message, and from the greatest to the least, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their sorrow. When the king of Nineveh heard what Jonah was saying, he stepped down from his throne and took off his royal robes. He dressed himself in burlap and sat on a heap of ashes. Then the king and his nobles sent this decree throughout the city: “No one, not even the animals from your herds and flocks, may eat or drink anything at all. People and animals alike must wear garments of mourning, and everyone must pray earnestly to God. They must turn from their evil ways and stop all their violence. Who can tell? Perhaps even yet God will change his mind and hold back his fierce anger from destroying us.” When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. Jonah 3:1‭-‬10 NLT
