R.I.P. Mean Gene. You were among the last of the vanishing breed of witty WWE characters who worked magic with the microphone. If the WWE abandoned their current policy of hiring boring physical specimens and go back to scouting for personalities with decent athletic ability the continuing downward trend of the WWE's popularity would be reversed. Who cares if they don't have muscles on their muscles? If they can work the mike and hold their own in the ring, that would be what the WWE desperately needs. They should've learned from the Lex Luger push failure because "The Total Package" didn't have the wit and verbal creativity, something that's been a major part of pro wrestling for decades.

Hulk Hogan walked down to the ring; in the ring it was Terry Bollea. You could see the age; you could see the hurt. And that's ok, because they are real people; they're not just characters, and you can't kayfabe this. It was classy and heartfelt; it was real and it was raw. It was the right way--it was the only way--to honor Mean Gene.

I'm not happy that a man died, but my God this is some of the lowest, low brow "entertainment"! It's like watching "Idiocracy" all over again. It's just bloody STUPID!

It had to be Hogan. No other WWE/WWF/WCW superstar had a more memorable pre match interview with Mean Gene than the Hulkster! It came full circle. Who will be there when the Hulkster.... checks out?

I'm not really fond of the crowd chants. I miss the fans of the 80's to early 90's. Good to see Hulk again tho. These fans don't know how to be fans of his obviously.

Jojo the REGULAR Ring Announcer on Monday Night Raw was at THAT Raw on January 2nd, unfortunately, I read she left the Arena as soon as she got there, and told Agents she had to go home cause she received a phone call from Family that her sister passed away. That's why Mike Rome substituted for her on January 2nd.

he was a class act.somehow I don't think Hogan would have been as popular without characters like heenan, fuji, andre , and mean gene. Take one of those people away and I know me personally, I wouldn't have tuned in as much

Uh oh Fabulous Moolah or Mae Young ha ha ha, the good old days of wrestling isn't what it used to be, watching WWF or WCW in the summer of 1993 changed me and made me the long time fan ever since Razor Ramon or The Smoking Gunns and the talented stars in those times graced the ring with their overwhelming presence and I'm thankful that they gave me the fun times. But I'd like to see some young wrestlers keep the traditions of pro wrestling for another a decade or two, be the next Hulk Hogan or Sable.
