The scariest part of IT chapter 2 was when I got abit drunk, knocked over my beer in the middle of the movie and the person I went with got angry...

*_SH*_** *It's a floater.* Why is grown Eddie suddenly the nervous[er] jackass, like Jonah Hill from _Superbad_ ? MIKE: I went on a Jim Morrison vision quest, and Henry Selick flashbacks taught me how to kill the clown we already know how to kill. EDDIE: ... He slimed me.

A partial fix to the plot... of the book or movie... I think it would play better if the IT creature feeds off of children and adults... the first fears of the children are like a sugar rush... but the creature hibernates for 27 years, and so he needs a bunch of adults to sustain him over that time... but the only way to get tortured adults is to have first tortured them as children... so... in *my* fix to the story... you'd have to show that while IT is going around torturing the kids IT is also collecting adults too... and in Part 1, this wouldn't make sense entirely... but in Part 2, you'd learn that each time IT wakes up it has to do two things... #1 collect all the adults IT previously tortured and #2 torture a bunch of new kids... This would explain why it would be compelled to go after those original kids as adults even though they had bested IT previously... IT has no choice... IT must get some adults for the next hibernation and those were the only kids left from those the last time IT was awake. So, in Part 1 you show IT collecting random adults while scaring the kids... then in Part 2 you show IT torturing new kids while trying to collect those grown-ups from the previous movie.

An alternative fix... similar to above BUT... normally IT terrifies and kidnaps loner/outcast children that nobody notices. So the normal IT cycle is, wake from hybernation... torture and kidnap a bunch of kids... live off the tortured kidnapped kids while in hybernation as IT "stores" those kids in a way that they grow up while being in a state of constant terror... BUT this time around, these particular loner kids bond together and as a result IT can't kidnap them to fill the normal quota and when they defeat IT in Part 1, IT barely has enough kids to live off of during this hybernation... so in Part 2 when IT awakens again, IT is literally starving.... and while IT needs to gather new kids for the next cycle IT also knows it has some "happy meals" in the form of those now grown-up kids... so IT wants to go after them in part for revenge but in part as an instant hunger fix... this would present an IT in part 2 that is more reckless do to its desperation and ultimately leads to ITs demise.

Always, with this story, the part of the narrative focussed on the children is better. The adult material is tedious, repetitive, and lacks any engaging quality.

The plastic Paul Bunyan scene should have had Ritchie laughing in disbelief, making wisecracks while fleeing, with the theater crowd laughing, along ... and then, the ax nearly decapitates him. I don't understand how unimaginative and humorless movie producers and writers are, in an area based upon creativity and imagination. They stick to dull formulas.

Movie makers just can't get past the CLOWN. At one point in the book Eddie thinks "Grownups are the _real_ monsters" . And _that_ is what the book was about. Child abuse.

Saying I like the movie and Mike and Jay are being harsh is a waste of time so I will instead say that there's nothing in any of the Nightmare on Elm St. movies that have scared me more than anything in the It movies (which is to say not at all on both accounts). I find the imagery fascinating in both of the It movies, perhaps more-so in the second. Jay saying he was bored during the "spider-head" bit and implying he didn't get anything at all from that scene just further discredits his opinions on movies for me. Jay is just a snob that doesn't like anything.

It had promise right up until they ran out of ideas and did "CGI thing shakes violently and lunges at camera" instead of anything remotely original or scary. Don't give a book like this to a director with only one or two other films under his belt. He let some scenes go on ten times longer than they should, and has no idea about tone, subtlety, FUCK MOVIS

Which isn’t a problem with these guy, it’s the film industry. Everything sucks now! Everything is just a cash grab! That’s why I’ve been trying to check out more independent films as of late. Besides that I do love these reviews. 👍

I feel like the first chapter was well paced because they basically remade the original 1990 movie. The second chapter was all over the place because they tried to make it their own version, a retelling if you will. I would much rather have a prequel moving forward, and I use that term VERY loosely. I would like to see an out of the box telling of Pennywise in a different era in time that doesn't follow this current timeline. I didn't hate chapter two but it was not enjoyable what so ever.

They should have spelled the title with a silent "sh" at the front. In case you were wondering, the title of the movie would read "Shit" and that's what the movie is: a pile of shit. Now... is it a good joke? Not really. Have other people thought of it before? Sure, but at least I had the balls to write it in a comment on FRreporter.

Finally got to watch It 2, so finally watching the review. It’s hard work avoiding spoilers. Thanks for pointing out the de-aging. Fing sloppy. Im wearing my new glasses and thought they needed adjustments when I saw Bill and Eddie. And I definitely agree the interesting character development needed more time. The plot was all over the place and nowhere. I don’t think McAvoy knows what a stutter sounds like. That being said, I enjoy most horror and enjoyed this movie for casual entertainment. I could always do with less cgi. The monsters looked cheap.
