Plus, if you want to watch a triumph of one shot takes, you should check out Victoria, which is a full feature length film shot in one take. No tricks (and believe me I was looking for them). It is legitimately just one continuous shot. Genius execution.

The scene of the girl running to the mirror could be replicated by zooming very far into the reflection. As she runs to the mirror you can zoom out and keep her in frame. In the reflection she would grow bigger as she gets closer to the mirror, hence you should zoom out to keep her correctly in frame.

that apartment shot, imo seemed a little excessive, like why not just EDIT it at that point? i dont think the final scene actually benefits from all that work, we just look at the TV the whole time, a better composite shot of the various phases would have worked just as well. Imo its just a little show offy from a film making standpoint, only by seeing the behind the scenes shot does it seem as cool, but even then.

The mirror thing is incredibly easy to do, but pretty hard to perfect. It mainly comes down to zooming out at the same rate as the girl comes closer, causing her to remain in the shot at the same size. You might also have to change angle a little bit at the same time as you zoom out, but that kinda depends on where you stand and all that. It might take 20-30 shots, but it's totally something anyone can do just with their phone.

The mirror scene was done by by basically having the actress run towards a mirror while the mirror and camera go backwards from her, then mirror stops with the camera going backwards (all while never changing its angle) and the actress completing the sequence with her reaching for the mirror.
