    Canadian bacon is a type of smoked meat, not a default of bacon in Canada. Here in Brasil we call it "lombo canadense defumado" as it use the loin. It's like a "smoked loin Canadian style".

    I just finished sous vide-ing an imported Japanese pork belly for 36 hours in a brazing liquid made of apple juice, soy sauce, aged apple balsamic vinegar, and pepper corn, and then I came here and realized I should of cured and smoked it to turn it into bacon....oh well...

    +komoOoT nope its real, the art doesnt have the digital cartoon png look to it, and the straight lines are a really tiny bit wiggly like a hand drawing. And the lighting and the camera focus matches the guys face. And i can tell it doesnt have a sharp or blurry outline like if you key out an image would have or a little green reflection on his face. The art is to die for.

    Not to be "that guy", but as a Canadian I wouldn't have called either of those "Canadian Bacon"... To me Canadian Bacon is Peameal Bacon, no other bacons compare. "A" was at least close, but calling "B" Canadian Bacon was an abomination... I'd have a hard time even calling that "meat" lol...

    Australian bacon is like the English bacon except it keeps the full piece of streaky bacon instead of cutting it in half. Each piece is huge. The even leave the rind on so you can make tiny pieces of crackling to have with your breakfast.

    If you look at Turkey bacon B, the fact that it had less process, a more meat like look almost like a ham, I would've definitely guessed that over A which looked emulsified. Even going with the real smoke as he said, B would have been pretty obvious as more expensive just using similar logic to the first bacon.

    Hearing how a high quality American bacon is produced I see that it's not that different from our local (Romanian) traditionally smoked bacon, we just cut it differently (in shorter slices).

    Enjoyed the video, some good information. BUT...that is NOT Canadian bacon, which is called "peameal back bacon." Look it up, watch some videos.
