Man, it’s tough times for us RIPCITY fans. But I told my friends before the season started this is NOT our championship season, next year is. We have too many key injuries(Nurk was our rock down low last year) and our bench isn’t efficient enough to stand on its own even with dame or cj in that lineup. I think we need a lot of changes. 1. A new offensive scheme with better ball movement and screens tailored to each players shot tendencies to minimize iso shots. I get dame and cj can create, but when they’re not shooting well the offense looks like a useless ball movement train wreck. Less pick and roll and more ball movement early in the shot clock. 2. We need to invest in our bench this upcoming season! Our starters CANNOT carry this team to a chip! Maybe far in playoffs but not a chip and that’s for certain, we need 4 shot creators on our roster and at least one should be 6th man. I think a good two guard would suit us well to run with ant and whoever we draft this next summer(pray to god Neil doesn’t draft another guard) 3. We need to switch up our defensive scheme in the pick n roll. I saw at least 10 times this game where the scheme was to go under the screen and it ended in a made 3! At the same time, our usual scheme is to go over and it ends up in a midrange jumper, floater, or fake shot into a pass to the rolling big. Has terry ever heard of a HEDGE?? We need to mix up the way we guard certain players on the opposition to make scoring HARD for the other team. Becuz it is clear as daylight that this scheme doesn’t work and won’t in the 3 point shooting league. 4. We need to be patient. Have u ever watched college ball and it seems like both teams don’t take a tough shot till the end of the shot clock? Well we need to bring some of that energy into this team. For the love of god why are we shooting step back contested threes 9 seconds into the shot clock???? I swear I wanna throw my remote when I see idiocy like that. We need to force teams to guard us until the last three seconds in the clock!! 5. We need to figure out what the plan is. Yea yea we made it to the conference finals last year. So what?? There were teams that were terrible in the west last year that are making a run for a playoff spot rn. We need to go back to the patient resilient mindset of two years ago.. where we got swept in the first round and we’re PISSED OFF. So pissed off that we put more heart into how we played. Took more pride in defense and offensive efficiency! Anyways that’s my take. Here’s things to looks forward to this next summer: A. Healthy nurk😀, Zach, and hopefully Rodney if we’re keep him. B. 46 million off our books for letting Hassan and walk in free agency. C. Experienced anfernee simons, skal labissierre D. 2020 draft, which I’m hoping we get a high pick. E. New mindset

Its too much Iso and too many difficult shots that everyone is taking. This was a winnable game for sure. Dame CJ and Melo didn't shoot it well, and right now with so little production from the bench, we need them getting it going to help the bench out. #RIPCITY has been dealt a bad hand, but this can all be fixed and I still think it will be. Knickerbockers in Moda Tuesday night is a MUST WIN.

More movement Better shot selection Dame time late in the 4th CJ needs to commit to defense hard in the first half, like he did Versus Sacramento Simons and Bazemore need to start cooking Melo needs to look at the mid-range shot instead of the three, more often. There was a few game stretch where the ball was moving well but besides that, the ball movement is terrible. Literally Melo, Rodney Hood, and Kent Bazemore are the only players that make the “extra pass”, and Kent wasn’t even doing that tonight when he was put in the starting lineup. I’m not saying this because I’m a Melo fan but the man has barely been getting any touches... the shot attempts numbers is not an accurate reflection of the game (if you watch full games). They mostly just throw him the ball with the shot clock winding down and he puts up a difficult attempt. Why did you sign him then? If you wanted someone to stand around on offence you could’ve just played tolliver. He’s better than Melo in a sense that he doesn’t need to establish a rhythm, where Melo does... I’m watching 5+ minute stretches where Melo doesn’t even take a single shot. This where I miss the old Melo where he would’ve demanded the ball... now he’s too “humble” and passive, playing under a microscope. Hopefully it turns around but I don’t see how.
