It's always funny at the beginning of The Searchers when they are talking about numbers of cattle. There's no way that many cattle could survive in that kind of land without a tanker truck full of water every day and almost all the feed would have to be trucked in. The actual place in Texas where the events that inspired The Searchers happened is rich farmland, which is why settlers wanted it, and the Comanche fought so hard to keep it.

Thank you so much for for validating my feelings...I lost my best friend of 11yrs this month and NO ONE UNDERSTANDS. She spent almost half of my life with me and then one day, she's gone and I'm just supposed to go on about my life like she never existed!?? She was my partner in crime, my family, my protector...the love, security and comfort she gave me could never be replaced or duplicate by any human. I deeply appreciate your vulnerability ...I have never felt so gutted about losing someone as I do about her.

The people I know that are against the settlements seem to live in a dreamland where they believe that if the large amounts of people in the settlements were made homeless and the west bank was given to the arabs that peace would finally ensue. lol. You mean like giving Pakistan to the muslims in India created peace? Remember how the muslims promised India that if they were just given land they would have no reason to fight anymore and pinky swore. lol. So India went ahead and cut off some land for them and India has been dodging rockets and bombs from Pakistan ever since.

Reminds me of Pol Pot's "Democratic Kampuchea." Just because you label a political entity "democratic" doesn't mean you are or ever will be. U.S. support declined for the Kurds after tensions rose with U.S ally, Turkey because, well, they just happen to be the lesser of the two evils.

Most of the resistance comes from people, who are NOT racist, being told they are simply because they support a harmless tradition. If you can show a direct correlation between zwart piet and institutionalised racism then you might have point. However, Dutch laws protect everyone equally as demonstrated by this video. Granted there are rude and inconsiderate people there but that does not make everyone rude and inconsiderate. People in the Netherlands have supported zwart piet for decades without a problem and now some outsiders come along and start insulting them and calling them names over the isssue. Frankly, if they just joined in on the fun there wouldn't be a problem. Some of the more discerning watchers will understand that even traditions change over time. Zwart Piet used to be a scary figure but now he has mellowed out. If you want society to change, nudging works a lot better than bashing people over the head.

And all because Jews keep asking a "promised Land" never realizing that Jesus was that promised Land, since Protestants denied that the Catholic Church is the consecutive "promised Land" and since Trump is Protestant, the only thing they want to do is support an old territory religious senseless conflict to affirm that they are the actual church Jesus founded, but it wasn't. Jesus didn't come to found a city, he was just a spiritual leader with followers around the globe with endless churches around the world. It's very ironic but Protestants think worshipping things is bad, well they are literally worshipping a territory, killing thousands of people in their way.

I feel like a licensing system would need much more infrastructure to be universally adopted and that the US should be focusing on more important things like welfare, education and climate change. Guns in America aren’t affecting the rest of the world and we’ve already shown so many solutions, as arguably the most powerful western country, the US needs to grow up and stop bickering internally about trivial things.

True, Obama must live in a miserable humiliated state. His worst nightmare plays itself out day after day, year after year, Trump. All of his policies have been dismantled and reversed, Trump is packing the courts, and he has been exposed for spying on a presidential candidate. His presidency has been entirely refuted, and all of his work went for naught. Very consequential.

Firstly, it's worth pointing out that nobody is saying get rid of private healthcare. There's a booming private healthcare sector in the UK and it works for them because it costs more and people who have it end up in NHS hospitals in an emergency because as you pointed out, they're not conscious enough to make that call or because transferring them immediately risks further injury. In any case, a lot of the private treatment happens in NHS hospitals. Secondly, as far as I understand, your state healthcare is costing you 300+ billion a year which means you wouldn't even have to raise taxes to switch to an NHS since that's enough to give every american citizen a 1 billion dollar lifetime healthcare budget. In any case, the system you have now means you're paying for healthcare twice. Once in taxes and again to private companies.

If you want a gun in estonia (country in europe) you have to get a gun owning licence plus gun carrying licence. Getting these licenses is not easy and you have to study lots of laws, complete kind of exam and prove in police organised test that you actually can use gun safely. This system may be little bit annoying but it works. Also people have to take psycholigical test to prove that they have no psychological issues. If you complete all this then you can go and buy a gun in gun store. Hunting firearms have a different system. You have to belong to hunting club and somthing else, i'm not sure. Same about shooting sports. And also. Fully auyomatic firearm are completely forbidden (expect military of course)

If the skull sign was as well preserved as many of you seem to think, we would take it so seriously and acknowledge the harshness that it wouldn't show up in kid's toys and costumes. (Not that I undestand why there has to be images of human remains on any clothing, but at least not children's.) Maybe death as is doesn't scare us that much, it simply marks the end of existence for the modern secular individual. We need to be made to think about the possibly horrific causes.

I respectfully think the sense of shattering loss is not exclusive to only dogs but for cats as well, cats depend on you as well. They're less expressive but they miss you when you're gone, you're also their entire life. My cat Sally passed away last year and it was so incredibly painful. She had cancer and it was time but even before her passing I was grieving and in so much emotional pain. I hadn't cried like that since my grandma died. Your brain registers loss of a love one very strongly and it doesn't matter if that being is human or not, the grieving process can be the same.

Licensing is good. But, every state won’t do this. Also Murderers buy guns at Guns Shows. Some criminals actually purchase dozens of guns at gun shows. Universal Background checks will have kept millions of guns off the streets. VOX is always lying while giving some truth. The background check doesn’t fail the majority of the time. The FBI background check is behind/ delayed But Not A Failure.
