Because liking things is more fun than not liking things.
Sometimes the critics are wrong. Some movies, while full of plot holes, continuity errors, and bad acting have plenty of wins! Every week I’ll do a movie you love, that maybe the world hates. Did you go into a movie with your mind made up? Maybe there's more greatness in it than you thought! And some movies are just so good they deserve the winning treatment.
The internet is full of so much hate and negativity, ultimately I hope my videos will brighten your day!
I use a similar format as CinemaSins specifically to be their opposite. This is just my spin on films that I think don't get the respect they deserve or are so good they need to be celebrated. Or more often, stupid crap that made me laugh and want to watch it again.

i find this purist fan stuff to be a little too close to flat earther mindset, their absolute refusal to enjoy certain scenes like that kickass Darth Vader scene where we got to see badass supreme darth vader be a, guess what, a totally badbass invincible darth vader, which he pretty much was back then. so my point is, you can show a flat earther just about any invincible, irrefutable evidence of a spherical earth, then they will find something petty to pull that evidence to pieces, or in this case, not to enjoy the vader scene or the whole film for that matter which had cool star wars fight scenes enough to satisfy us. This puts film makers in a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario, no matter what they do, someone will get offended.

Just my 2 pence here, but i believe that tough love can help with depression if used in the correct way. You have to want to get better, the more you mope the worse it gets. Sometimes you need the friend to give you those proverbial slaps to get you to stop moping and start wanting to change. Not saying that tough love should be all the time, but smothering the friend will just feed the moping. I would class what Thor's mother did as tough love but done correctly

Another detail is from more of the lore side of the Jedi, Obi-Wan looks to be on the defensive the whole fight with anakin, but If you look into lightsaber combat, form 3 is mainly defensive strikes and blocks and using the enemy’s power against them. And Obi-wan is the most well known master of form 3 lightsaber combat. Just a nice touch

I enjoyed watching this movie, but I still didn't like it. I saw the good parts, but I can still criticize it. I enjoyed watching this video, seeing the positive sides without all the negativity, but I still feel like I have to point a few things out. The only thing I really disagreed with was your point about Holdo. She should have explained, at least more than she did. You said that questioning leaders in the military is not acceptable, but I've heard the exact opposite from many who's been there themselves. Especially when the situation is not properly explained. Like, I might be misremembering some stuff here, but didn't Holdo refuse to even say she had a plan? Refused to explain why she didn't tell him her plan? All of this SHOULD lead to questioning the authority of the leader. She didn't even tell him that they were afraid of a spy, or that information had to be kept secret for various reasons. There are countless lives at stake here and there seems to be no plan to save them. She even acts cocky the whole time too. She could have been right to keep the information from him IF she did ANYTHING to sate his desperation. Another thing to consider is his role on the ship. He is famous and commands a ton of respect from the common troops, which is something both Leia and Holdo should know. They both call him reckless and they know he ignores orders. He literally did it right before this whole thing goes down. They should have seen the mutiny coming a mile away. He was dangerous when desperate, thinking the leadership was incompetent, he was a recognized figure with a streak of recklessness. He had authority, but was treated as the janitor asking for battle plans. You can keep the plans from him AND stop the mutiny if you had even a shred of common sense. You were right to criticize Rose's line about saving what they love, but you didn't even mention the whole impossibility of reaching him in time. She was miles away, going in the opposite direction and somehow caught up with him? And I get the suspension of disbelief and that some impossibilities can happen, but that was WAY too noticeable and impossible. I get that it's an individual thing, but that took it too far for me, and I am kinda astounded not everyone feels the same. You can set up the save, but don't make it that impossible, please. I was literally thinking about possible ways to save him while watching, and almost gasped when I saw what they did, because I had already discarded the idea about 12 times before it happened. Also, I think the duster could have taken out the cannon. I get that it's small and that it was melting, but it wasn't that damaged compared to what it originally was, and Poe thought it possible and he knows WAY more about that cannon than any viewer does. The call for retreat was not because they couldn't destroy it, but because they were being taken out too quickly, too vulnerably. And outside armor does not equate to strong insides. Your skull is strong, but get inside the mouth and you'd get to the brain pretty easily after all. The First Order also obviously wanted to kill the dusters, which is kinda weird if they posed literally no threat. Like, yeah, kill them all, but they seemed kinda nervous, too nervous, if they were just worried about having fighters close. Furthermore, the throne fight was garbadge. It looked stunning, and I didn't notice the shit on my first time viewing, but that doesn't really excuse them. Betting you didn't notice most of the wins first time through after all, or at least not all. The bad choreography takes me out of the fight every time I notice it, which is every time since I first noticed. The color and general cinematography is great, but they really should have gotten that choreography properly before filming. I get they had time contraints, but it still ruins the fight, even if there were excuses for why it happened. In almost all fights, you have unnecessary moves and characters doing nothing sometimes, but it was too noticeable here compared to many other places. I didn't enjoy the Canto Bight scenes, found the whole side plot rather annoying (though my first watching was genuinely intrigued about where it was going), but it is not as bad as the other problems mentioned. Don't really remember it vividly enough to explain properly why though, so I will just leave it at that. The main framing of the movie was also very stupid. The First Order could not expedite their victory in any way? Your explanation that Hux was arrogant kinda falls flat when you think about his declining favor with Snoke. He should very much use everything at his disposal to end this as quickly as possible, so as to not meet the same fate many dilly dallers met when disappointing a sith in this series. The command to retreat at the beginning of the movie is also nonsense. They were being targeted by a weapon that would surely destroy them, with no evacuations in process, only minutes left to spare, and calling off the attack would help in what way exactly? Sure, many died, but the ones that died would have been the only ones left if the attack was called off. The Dreadnought would have destroyed the fleet and that would have been it. Also, Poe was not really at blame for the bombers' death. If you look at how slow they are, how far away they are when they first appear, and how little time in between their first appearance and the attack being called off, they had clearly already left the fleet when the attack was called off. They were on their way. They also had plenty of time to respond to the call for retreat, and Poe didn't actually ask them to disobey orders once if I remember correctly, so he wasn't to blame in any way, except for risking his own life. Him therefore getting deranked makes little sense. On the more positive side, the light speed scene was stunning, and I completely agree that it doesn't ruin Star Wars, though it is an unanswered question that if not handled properly could create a major flaw. Luke being a projection was really cool, and it completely fits as you explained it. Becoming the legend the resistance needed and all that. Think his death was a bit weird though, but it kinda fits with Obi-Wan's. Depends on whether Obi-Wan disappeared/died before the lightsaber passed through him or not. Even then, he was in a fight, but Luke just kinda disappeared on his own (could maybe have shown some signs of the projection taking some effort?) The imagery of the salt planet was also visually incredible. The whole movie is actually beautiful, even if the overall story and some plot points were weak.

I'd call myself a halo fan, but I dislike the direction 343 industry has taken the games, but the books got better IMO. You don't need to like every last part of your favourite series in order to be a fan. Likewise, you are allowed to like parts of a series people don't. IT DOESN'T MATTER JUST ENJOY THE DARN THING IF YOU WANNA ENJOY IT OR DON'T IF YOU DON'T. okay rant over hit me with that downvote fam.
